Description

Tofta has a tall back for a modern sofa, 92 centimetres from the floor, with a row of hand-tied buttons that pull the upholstery into shallow folds. The arms are square and the same height as the seat cushions, so a tray or a laptop can rest across them. The legs are short oak cubes set well back under the body.

Seat depth is 57 centimetres and the foam is firmer than most, which keeps the buttoned back crisp over the years. The textile is a plain velvet with a short pile. Tofta suits an older apartment with high ceilings and tall windows, where a low sofa would look lost. Designed by Hanna Lindqvist for Lindqvist Verkstad.
