Description

The Rörum Armchair is a deep, square-cut chair with arms as wide as a side table and a seat that runs back further than most. It is upholstered in a brushed suede over a hardwood frame and layered foam, with a loose back cushion filled with feather and foam. The whole piece sits on a low walnut plinth that runs around the base and lifts it a few centimetres off the floor.

Granit & Ek designed it as the main chair in a living room, the one placed opposite the sofa. The suede is soft and warms quickly, and the walnut plinth is oiled and protects the upholstery from vacuum cleaners and feet. The arms are firm enough to perch on during a conversation.

Rörum Armchair comes in Fog, Moss and Cognac.

Made to be kept

Solid wood and honest joinery. Aino makes chairs, sofas and tables to be used for decades.

Nothing here is built to be replaced. The frame is made to last, and the parts that wear can be looked after instead of thrown away.
