Ramsvik Chair

The Ramsvik Chair is a dining chair with arms, carved from walnut and kept slim so it still slides under a standard table. The arms rise from the front legs in one continuous curve and meet a back of two broad, slightly cupped splats. The seat is sprung on elastic webbing and upholstered in a heavy wool textile, so it gives under you and recovers when you stand.

Granit & Ek designed it as a carver, the chair at each end of a table, though many people buy a full set. Walnut gives the frame its depth and the thin section its strength. It is the kind of chair that gets pulled away from the table to sit by the window with a book and never quite gets put back.

Ramsvik Chair comes in Walnut and Smoked Oak.
