Description

The Nora Chair is a dining chair built around the moment you pull it from the table. The top rail is a thick piece of oak, carved to a soft oval that fits the palm, and the back is two curved splats that meet it at a slight angle. The seat is padded with a thin layer of foam over webbing and covered in aniline leather, stitched at the corners rather than folded.

Elin Söderberg kept the back low so the chair tucks under most tables and does not block the view across a room. The oak frame is finished with a natural oil and the leather is left unprotected on purpose, so it marks and softens and becomes the record of every dinner held at that table.

Nora Chair comes in Natural and Cognac.

Made to be kept

Solid wood and honest joinery. Aino makes chairs, sofas and tables to be used for decades.

Nothing here is built to be replaced. The frame is made to last, and the parts that wear can be looked after instead of thrown away.
