Description
The Mölle Armchair is carved from solid hardwood, in either oak or walnut, with a seat hollowed by hand to a deep dish and arms that sweep back from the front posts in a single shaped piece. The back rest is a curved board wrapped in thick saddle leather, stitched by hand along the rear edge, set at the height of the lower shoulder blades.
Nordmark Snickeri build it slowly and in small numbers. The joints are all exposed, with contrasting pegs, and the timber is oiled and waxed. It is an upright chair, meant for sitting with a straight back and a drink, and it reads as a piece of sculpture when nobody is in it. Each one is numbered underneath the seat.
