Kymmendö Coffee Table

The Kymmendö is a pedestal coffee table with a round top of 90 centimetres and 30 millimetres, bevelled on the underside so the rim reads thinner than it is. The top sits on a turned column, 14 centimetres across at the widest, which flares into a disc foot of 50 centimetres that is weighted inside with a steel plate. There are no legs to kick and the whole floor around it stays clear.

Björnberg & Co turn the column from a single glued-up block, and the shape is drawn by Lovisa Hjortstam, who wanted a coffee table that could be approached from any side. At 40 centimetres high it meets a sofa seat and takes the weight of someone leaning on the rim without tipping.

Kymmendö Coffee Table comes in Walnut and Soaped Birch.
