Frösunda Desk

Frösunda is a secretary desk for people who want the office to disappear at five o'clock. The cabinet is 90 centimetres wide, 45 deep and 115 high, in solid birch and birch veneer on a birch core. A flap folds down on brass stays to give a 90 by 65 centimetre work surface at 74 centimetres, and inside there are two shelves, a shallow drawer and a cut-out in the back panel for a charger and a lamp cord.

With the flap closed the piece reads as a plain cabinet and a laptop can stay plugged in behind it. The stays hold the flap level under the weight of a forearm, and the hinge line is set so a chair tucks under without hitting the base.
