Description

The Fårö is a pedestal table with a round oak top of 130 centimetres and 40 millimetres thickness, bevelled on the underside so the rim looks lighter than it is. A single steel column, 12 centimetres across, carries the top down to a cross-shaped foot that sits flat on the floor. Five chairs fit around it with ease and six when the table is full.

Hamra Workshop made the column heavy on purpose. A pedestal table lives or dies by its steadiness, and the Fårö does not rock when someone leans on one side. The top is oiled oak and can be lifted off the column for a move, which two people do without tools.

Fårö Table comes in Oak and Smoked Oak.

Made to be kept

Solid wood and honest joinery. Aino makes chairs, sofas and tables to be used for decades.

Nothing here is built to be replaced. The frame is made to last, and the parts that wear can be looked after instead of thrown away.

Buy one good thing instead of three cheap ones, and keep it.
