Description

Vallda is a two-seater sofa that becomes a 140 centimetre wide bed in one movement, by pulling the seat forward and lowering the back. The frame is birch, with a slatted bed base hidden under the seat, and the mechanism is steel pins in birch blocks rather than a bolted-on unit. Nothing rattles when you sit down.

The seat is a single mattress-grade foam block, 14 centimetres thick, so it sleeps properly and still sits firm as a sofa. Seat depth is 60 centimetres in sofa mode. The textile is a hard-wearing flat weave. Vallda suits a studio, a guest room or a home office. Designed by Lovisa Norrman for Norrsken Design.

Vallda Sofa comes in Fog and Mustard.

Made to be kept

Solid wood and honest joinery. Aino makes chairs, sofas and tables to be used for decades.

Nothing here is built to be replaced. The frame is made to last, and the parts that wear can be looked after instead of thrown away.

Buy one good thing instead of three cheap ones, and keep it.
