Description
Nämdö is a low coffee table with a 110 by 60 centimetre top in solid oak, finger-jointed at the corners and finished with a hardwax oil that can be renewed at home. The top sits 38 centimetres off the floor on a steel frame welded from flat bar, so the table reads as a slab resting on a line rather than a box.
The frame is bolted from underneath and comes apart for a move. Oak is hard enough for mugs, feet and the occasional board game, and the oil finish takes small marks without showing them. Over the years the surface builds a patina that suits a sofa more than a showroom.
