Lurö Coffee Table

The Lurö is 130 by 65 centimetres and 38 high, with a 25 millimetre solid oak top and an edge rounded to a half radius. At one end a shallow tray, 30 by 50 centimetres and 2 centimetres deep, is let into the top and lined with vegetable-tanned leather, so the small things that land on a coffee table have a place and the rest of the surface stays clear. Four legs sit at the corners.

Tallkrona Studio made the tray because every coffee table ends up with one anyway. The leather wears in with use and takes on a sheen where hands reach for keys. The oak is oiled and the whole table is sized for a three-seat sofa with knee room either side.
