Kullen Armchair

The Kullen Armchair has a barrel back that wraps around to form the arms in one continuous curve, upholstered in a brushed suede over layered foam. The seat is a single deep cushion, fixed, and the whole shell sits on a round oak base with a quiet swivel mechanism inside it. You can turn the chair a full circle without lifting anything.

Ljung Design intended it for rooms with more than one focus, where a chair needs to face the window, the fire or the other people depending on the hour. The suede is soft to the touch and brushes back if it marks. The oak base is oiled and slightly concave so it reads as a plinth rather than a disc. It is heavier than it looks and sits very still.
