Description

The Insjön Chair carries a seat of thick vegetable-tanned leather, stretched across a solid oak frame and fixed with brass rivets along the side rails. There is no padding underneath. The leather starts firm and gives slowly, taking on a shallow dip where you sit most. The back is a low oak rail, rounded on top, that supports the lower back and leaves the shoulders free.

Nordmark Snickeri make the frame with pegged mortise and tenon joints and finish the oak with a hard wax oil. It is a quiet chair with a strong profile, suited to long tables where a row of them reads as a single line. The leather can be re-tensioned once, years in, if it ever needs it.
