Description

Idre is a three-seater of plain parts. The frame is a tubular steel cradle, bent and welded, that holds three seat cushions and three back cushions in a row with a small gap between each. The cushions are thick, boxy and firm, with a piped edge that keeps their shape, and the whole sofa is 90 centimetres deep with a seat depth of 60 centimetres.

The textile is a canvas-weight cotton blend with a dry surface that suits rooms with hard materials. Idre looks right on a concrete floor or against a glass wall, where a wooden sofa would seem out of place. It is for a loft, a studio or a workplace lounge. Designed by Lovisa Norrman for Norrsken Design.

Idre Sofa comes in Cement and Lemon.

Made to be kept

Solid wood and honest joinery. Aino makes chairs, sofas and tables to be used for decades.

Nothing here is built to be replaced. The frame is made to last, and the parts that wear can be looked after instead of thrown away.

Buy one good thing instead of three cheap ones, and keep it.
