Description

The Edsvik Armchair is a soft, rounded shell with no hard edges anywhere above the legs. The seat is a single deep cushion, the back and arms are one continuous curve of upholstery over a timber frame and layered foam, and the whole thing sits on four short turned oak legs that lift it just clear of the floor. You can sit in it sideways with your legs over an arm.

Ljung Design covered it in a heavy boucle textile with a loose, removable cover that zips off along the base. The oak legs are oiled and the frame is kiln-dried hardwood. It is wider than it looks and heavier than it looks, and it tends to become the seat everyone goes for first.

Edsvik Armchair comes in Sand, Moss and Dusty Blue.

Made to be kept

Solid wood and honest joinery. Aino makes chairs, sofas and tables to be used for decades.

Nothing here is built to be replaced. The frame is made to last, and the parts that wear can be looked after instead of thrown away.

Buy one good thing instead of three cheap ones, and keep it.
