Ulriksdal Desk

Ulriksdal is a writing desk with a leather surface set into a solid oak top, 130 by 65 centimetres, and a 5 centimetre gallery rail along the back edge that stops pens and paper from sliding off and gives a lamp somewhere to sit. Two drawers under the top run on waxed oak guides and are divided inside for stationery. The legs taper toward the floor and are set at the corners so a chair tucks in from the front without obstruction.

A brass grommet behind the rail takes a charger, and a small shelf under the rail keeps a phone out of sight while it charges. The height is 75 centimetres. The leather is vegetable tanned and the oak is oiled, so both darken slowly and together as the desk is used.
