Skäret Wing Chair

The Skäret Wing Chair has a tall back with wings that curve forward at head height, lined on the inside with short-wool sheepskin where your head and shoulders rest. The outer shell and seat are upholstered in a heavy wool textile over a solid oak frame, and the four oak legs are turned and left visible. The seat is sprung and deep, with a fixed cushion.

Elin Söderberg drew it for old houses with cold corners, where a chair has to make its own climate. The wings cut the draught and the sheepskin holds warmth. It is a chair for one person and a long evening, and it stands best with its back to the room, turned toward a window or a fire.
