Description

Öland sits on a cradle frame of walnut: two curved side pieces that carry the seat and tilt it back by a few degrees. The tilt is what makes the sofa comfortable without deep cushions, because the body settles against the back instead of sliding forward. A loose bolster rests at each end and can be moved to the lower back or the floor.

Seat depth is 60 centimetres and the back is a single fixed cushion, which keeps the look clean. The textile is a chunky wool with a visible twill weave. Öland suits a living room where people sit for hours after dinner. Designed by Ebba Hedlund for Studio Hedlund.
