Description

Odenplan is the desk for a first flat or a spare room that has to earn its keep. The top is 110 by 60 centimetres in solid birch, 74 centimetres high, with two drawers side by side under the front edge and an open shelf 15 centimetres below the top for a laptop, a printer or the books that are actually in use. The legs are square-section birch, joined with mortise and tenon and glued, so there is nothing to tighten later.

A rounded cut-out in the back edge lets cables drop behind the shelf. The drawers run on waxed wooden guides and the top is oiled, which means the whole piece can be refreshed with a cloth and a tin rather than replaced when it starts to show its years.

Odenplan Desk comes in Birch and White Laminate.

Nothing here is built to be replaced. The frame is made to last, and the parts that wear can be looked after instead of thrown away.
