Description

The Nyköping is a round table of 140 centimetres in solid oak, with a 30 millimetre top brought down to a knife edge at the rim. Four legs are set 20 centimetres in from the edge and tied by a ring stretcher just above the floor, which keeps the base steady while leaving every seat free of a leg. Six sit comfortably and seven when a stool is pulled up.

Studio Vreta drew the knife edge so the top seems to float above the legs, and the ring stretcher so the table stays rigid as it ages. The oil finish can be refreshed at home, and the round shape means the table can move to a new room without a new plan.

Nyköping Dining Table comes in White Oil and Black Stained Oak.

Made to be kept

Nothing here is built to be replaced. The frame is made to last, and the parts that wear can be looked after instead of thrown away.
