Description

Hammarby takes its proportions from a joiner's bench. The frame is welded from 40 millimetre square steel tube with a stretcher between the legs you can rest a foot on, and the top is 160 by 80 centimetres in 40 millimetre solid oak, bolted from below through slotted plates so it can move with the seasons. The desk weighs 58 kilos and does not shift when leaned on.

A steel channel under the back edge holds a power strip and two screen cables, with an opening at each end. The fixed height is 74 centimetres. It is a desk for soldering, drawing and spreading out reference books as much as for a laptop, and the oak top will take a plane and fresh oil when it has earned it.

Hammarby Desk comes in Black and Blue.

Made to be kept

Solid wood and honest joinery. Aino makes chairs, sofas and tables to be used for decades.

Nothing here is built to be replaced. The frame is made to last, and the parts that wear can be looked after instead of thrown away.

Buy one good thing instead of three cheap ones, and keep it.
