Description

Gärdet is a slim desk that behaves like a console when nobody is working at it. The top is 120 by 50 centimetres in solid oak with a leather strip set into the front third, where wrists rest, and a single drawer runs the full width on soft-close runners. A notch in the back edge drops a laptop cable behind the desk, and the frame is set back so a chair slides fully under.

At 75 centimetres high and 50 deep it fits a narrow bedroom wall or the end of a living room without taking the path through it. The oak is oiled and the leather is vegetable tanned, both of which age in step with each other.

Gärdet Desk comes in Oak and Smoked Oak.

Made to be kept

Solid wood and honest joinery. Aino makes chairs, sofas and tables to be used for decades.

Nothing here is built to be replaced. The frame is made to last, and the parts that wear can be looked after instead of thrown away.
