Description

The Arild Armchair sits on a solid oak frame that is fully visible from the side, with the upholstered seat and back cradled inside it like a cushion resting in a hand. The arms are flat oak boards wide enough for a cup. The seat is deep but the overall footprint is small, under seventy centimetres across, so it works in a bedroom corner or beside a narrow sofa.

Ljung Design covered it in a textured wool textile that is removable for cleaning and tough enough to live with. The oak is oiled and will darken a shade over the first year. It is a chair for reading and for the end of the day, and the frame will outlast several sets of covers if you want to change them.

Arild Armchair comes in Oatmeal and Cognac.
