Description

Sickla is an all-wood trestle desk. Two A-frame trestles in solid birch, pegged rather than screwed, carry a 140 by 70 centimetre birch top that rests on four rubber buttons and lifts off without tools. The trestles stand 71 centimetres high and the top brings the working height to 74. A leather strap across each trestle holds a cable run, and a notch in the back edge of the top drops a cord behind.

Because nothing is fixed, the desk can become a dining table for eight for one evening and a desk again in the morning. The birch is oiled throughout and the trestles are sanded smooth on every edge, since people will hook their feet around them for years.
