Description

The Ödeshög is a refectory table, 200 by 80 centimetres, narrower than most so it fits a hallway kitchen or a long room with a path beside it. The 30 millimetre oak top has a bevel on the underside and sits on a sled base of flat steel bar, bent into two closed loops at the ends and joined by a rail. Three chairs a side give six, and the sled means no leg at a chair's position.

Hamra Workshop built it as a table to eat at and work at in the same day. The steel base takes the weight of people leaning and the oak top takes everything else. Both parts can be separated for stairs and put back together with four bolts.

Ödeshög Table comes in Oak.

Made to be kept

Solid wood and honest joinery. Aino makes chairs, sofas and tables to be used for decades.

Nothing here is built to be replaced. The frame is made to last, and the parts that wear can be looked after instead of thrown away.

Buy one good thing instead of three cheap ones, and keep it.
