Järvsö Sofa

Järvsö has a back made from a bent walnut shell, moulded in layers and finished with oil, which curves around two sitters and is warm to lean against. The seat is a thick leather cushion on a walnut frame, and a loose cushion covered in short-haired sheepskin sits at one end for whoever gets to it first. The legs are four turned walnut posts.

Seat depth is 56 centimetres and the shell back holds you upright with a slight recline. Järvsö is a fireside sofa, meant for a small room with one good source of heat and light, where two people sit side by side in the evening. Designed by Mats Furuholm for Form & Furu.
