Näset Armchair

The Näset Armchair is a single moulded shell, upholstered in a tight flat-woven textile over foam, carried on a frame of thin powder-coated steel rod. The shell wraps up at the sides into low arms and the steel frame runs underneath and out to four slim legs, so the seat seems to hover. The back flexes slightly on the frame when you lean into it.

Studio Malm made it to fill the gap between a desk chair and an armchair, for home offices that are also spare rooms and living rooms that are also studios. It weighs little and moves easily. The textile is hard-wearing and the steel frame has felt glides that leave wood floors alone. Two of them fit where one deep armchair would.
