Description

The Hudik is 240 by 100 centimetres with a 45 millimetre solid walnut top, the thickest in the range. The edge is chamfered at a steep angle on the underside, so what you see from a chair is a thin line while what you feel is a slab. Two slab legs, each a single glued-up panel, sit 35 centimetres in from the ends and leave eight chairs clear along the sides and ends.

Björnberg & Co joins the slab legs to the top with wedged through-tenons, visible from above as two small shapes in the surface. It is a table that gets heavier in the memory of a house the longer it stays, and it is made to stay.

Hudik Dining Table comes in Walnut.

Made to be kept

Solid wood and honest joinery. Aino makes chairs, sofas and tables to be used for decades.

Nothing here is built to be replaced. The frame is made to last, and the parts that wear can be looked after instead of thrown away.

Buy one good thing instead of three cheap ones, and keep it.
