Description

The Hovs Armchair is tall and narrow, with a back that reaches the top of the head and arms kept to a few centimetres wide so the chair takes up no more floor than a dining chair with elbows. The frame is solid birch, the seat is sprung on webbing with a firm foam cushion, and the whole thing is upholstered in a flat-woven wool textile with piped seams.

Havsbris made it for narrow living rooms and bedrooms, where a deep armchair would block a path. It is comfortable to sit upright in for a long time and tall enough to rest the head. The birch legs are short, turned and visible, and the cover is fixed, so the chair reads as one piece.

Solid wood and honest joinery. Aino makes chairs, sofas and tables to be used for decades.

Nothing here is built to be replaced. The frame is made to last, and the parts that wear can be looked after instead of thrown away.
